Description: Haddon Heights Borough is accepting applications for a full time Tax Collector.  Duties will include all Statutory duties as well as all phases of tax collection.  Certification (CTC) and Bachelor’s Degree required.  Applicants must be knowledgeable in Edmund’s Tax Program, Microsoft Outlook, WORD and EXCEL.  CTC reports to Mayor/Finance Director.  The Borough of Haddon Heights is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Collection: Collecting taxes from residents, mortgage and servicing companies, and handling all exceptions, changes and other problems normally associated with this function. The Tax Collector is responsible for adjusting accounts and sending out annual tax bills to residents, banks and mortgage companies.

Cashiering:  Accept, reconcile and deposit all funds within 48 hours

Enforcement: The Tax Collector holds the annual tax sale (currently for unpaid taxes and CCMUA payments from the previous year.)  Liens are auctioned off to the highest bidder and all old balances are collected.  After the sale, the Tax Collector issues the certificates and the file is set up.  The Tax Collector also handles redemptions, arrears accounting and must be familiar with the appropriate statutes.

Reports: The Tax Collector provides a variety of reports including Monthly, Annual, Senior Citizens, Veterans and delinquency reports.  Some are mandatory and some are “as requested” by the governing body.

The Borough of Haddon Heights Program Department is seeking instructors for new and existing youth and adult education programs/workshops.  Each season, the borough runs a variety of courses in fitness, art, crafts and enrichment subjects for residents of all ages.  Courses are held at your Community Center and Cabin facilities.  Please submit your resume, cover letter and/or course proposal to:
