Independence Day Celebration - Monday, July 4

Haddon Heights will be celebrating our Nation’s Birthday on Monday, July 4.  

Please join us for these traditional events. The Parade  will begin at 9:00 am following a Station Avenue route, starting at 2nd Avenue and then looping around 10th Avenue and heading down High Street to Hoff’s Park.  The 4th of July Parade will feature string bands, floats, civic groups, antique cars, decorated bicycles and wagons, costumes and decorated pets.  Want to join in the fun? Firecracker 5K - Monday July 4th, 2021 at 8:00 am

The Haddon Heights Municipal Alliance would like you to join in their Firecracker 5K in Haddon Heights. Details and race updates will be posted on the Haddon Heights Municipal Alliance Instagram page, which can be followed by scanning the QR code. LIVE REGISTRATION for $35 / SHIRT & BIB pickup:

  • July 3rd - 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at HH Cabin at Hoff’s Park, 8th Ave and W. High 
  • July 4th - 6:45 am to 7:45 am at HH Cabin at Hoff’s Park, 8th Ave and W. High 

Race Day 5K Start: 8:00 a.m. Sharp! “Rain or Shine” 

  • Course: USATF Certified; Flat, fast & mostly shaded – point to point. Ends and starts, at Hoff’s Park, the parade finish. Great running through beautiful Haddon Heights! Course roads are police controlled. 

Awards - No Award Duplications: 

  • 1st Overall Male & Female: $150 each -- 2nd Overall Male & Female: $ 100 each-- 3rd Overall Male & Female: $50 each 
  • Age Groups: Top 3 Males & Females Each Division 
  • 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ Special Award Divisions: Top Military & Public Safety Personnel (Male & Female): Police / Fire / EMS / Federal LE
  •  The first 300 participants to pick up their packet and race bib will be given a limited-edition 2022 event t-shirt.  There will be 75 smalls, 75 mediums, 75 large, and 75 extra large.   T-shirt is not guaranteed and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parade Rain Date!

While we have our fingers crossed and are hoping for beautiful weather, we know that sometimes Mother Nature is not on the same page, so if there is rain and the parade is postponed, we will hold the festivities on Tuesday, JULY 5th -- all of the times will remain the same.

We Need Your Help!

 We are calling for volunteers to be Parade Marshals! Can you spare 30 to 60 minutes to help us? The parade needs many volunteers in multiple spots to keep everything running smoothly and make sure everyone is safe and having fun! High school volunteers in need of service hours are welcome to help out! Baby/Child Parade

We invite all children 6 years of age and under to join in the Baby/Child Parade! There will be no judging and registration is not required.  All children joining into the Parade will receive participation gifts and fun decorative wear.  Families should convene at 8:45 am at corners of 10th and Sycamore to participate.

Ages 7 and Over! 

We also invite everyone else who is interested (7 years of age and older) to join in and participate in the parade! You can dress up as individuals, couples, or families.  Pets on a leash are also invited to dress up and join the parade. You can also decorate your bike* or non-motorized wagon. Decorate your car or put together a float.  Have fun and show your patriotic spirit! 
*HELMETS ARE REQUIRED TO RIDE IN THE PARADE

Own A Classic Vehicle?

Have a “classic” car or truck? We would like to extend an invitation for you to also join us in the parade. If you are interested in joining the Parade, line up on 2nd Avenue the morning of the Parade at 8:00 am.
