Pedestrian Improvements Coming to Station Avenue at East and West Atlantic Avenues

Mayor and Borough Council have been working with the Camden County Freeholder Board to bring pedestrian improvements to Station Avenue at East and West Atlantic Avenues.

The Borough has worked with the County’s Department of Public Works and County Engineer’s office to develop a plan to enhance the pedestrian crossings at this six leg intersection.  These enhancements include additional pedestrian crossing signage, high visibility crosswalks, and high visibility stamped synthetic pavement transitions from handicap ramps to crosswalks.

One Response to Pedestrian Improvements Coming to Station Avenue at East and West Atlantic Avenues

  1. Mary Hull says:

I think it would also be benefical to install traffic lights on Station Avenue at East and West Atlantic Avenues. It is much too crowded and jammed at rush hour in the AM and PM, with traffic trying to merge and cut across the street. I am constantly waiting for an accident to happen. The flow of traffic has to be made better either by police directing, adjustments to the traffic lights, or adding lights.
