Haddon Heights will be celebrating our Nation’s 242nd Birthday on Wednesday July 4th. Please join us for these traditional event. Parade begins at 9am following a Station Avenue route, starting at 2nd Avenue then looping around 10th Avenue and heading down High Street to Hoff’s Park. We are planning on making this year’s event bigger and better! Join us for traditional and new events!
The 4th of July Parade will feature string bands, floats, civic groups, antique cars, decorated bicycles and wagons, costumes and decorated pets. Want to join in the fun? Participants please see page 6 and 7 to see where and when to line up! Do you have a cute baby or child? The baby parade starts at Sycamore and 10th. Registration begins at 8:45 – Judging ends at 9:15 and then joins into the main parade. We invite all of our residents to decorate their homes to show their patriotic spirit.
When the parade is over the fun doesn’t stop! Join us at Hoff’s Park for a Post-Parade Party until Noon. Children will enjoy face painting, inflatable games and bounces and much more! Lots of yummy treats will be available for sale like ice cream, hot dogs, soda and more. Event open to everyone, come on over and join your friends and neighbors in all the fun! Registration begins at 8:45 am at Sycamore and 10th Avenue. Eligible children are 6 years old and under. Judging will end at 9:15 am and then will join into the Main parade.
There are 5 categories your little one(s) can place in:
- Best Dressed Individual or Couple
- Best Decorated Bike without training wheels
- Best Decorated Bike with training wheels *
- Best Decorated Wagon (non-motorized) *
- Best Decorated Baby Stroller
Over 7 to Senior Citizens
Want to join in the parade? We invite everyone 7 and older to join in this non-competitive parade! You can dress up as individuals, couples, or families. Pets on leash are also invited to dress up and join the parade. You can also decorate your bike* or non-motorized wagon. (Bikes & Wagons will join the Parade at Candy Corner and W. Atlantic Avenue) Decorate your car or put together a float. Have fun and show your patriotic spirit!
*HELMETS ARE REQUIRED TO RIDE IN THE PARADE
Parade Rain Date!
While we have all our fingers crossed and are hoping for beautiful weather, we know that sometimes mother nature does not have the same plan. So if there is rain and the parade is postponed, we will hold the festivities on SATURDAY, JULY 7th all of the times will remain the same.

Own A Classic Vehicle?
This year we also want to extend an invitation to all residents with a “classic” car or truck to join into the parade also. If you are interested in joining the parade, line up on 2nd Ave the morning of the parade.
