The Haddon Heights Library is happy to partner with Roads and Rails, Heights in Progress and the South Jersey S-Gaugers to bring a great model train display to the library. The display will be open from 10 – 3 for everyone to see on December 9 and 10 and again on December 16 and 17. The South Jersey S-Gauger display features a highly detailed, 26’ x 12’ sectional layout with three levels. It is capable of operating AC, DC or DCC and can utilize American Flyer, HiRail and 1/64th scale locomotives and rolling stock. There are so many features on this layout, you won’t want to miss it. The Haddon Heights Fire Department will be escorting Santa on a Tour of Haddon Heights. Santa is planning on coming on Saturday, December 16, starting at 5 pm. Keep an eye out as he will be atop a fire truck riding through the streets of Haddon Heights! Details should also be posted on the Fire Department’s Facebook page soon and will make sure an eboard flyer goes to the schools.
The annual Delaware & Susquehanna Haddon Heights Train Show is going to be held on Saturday January 27th and Sunday January 28th 2018. This years show will be a two day event. Saturday we will be open from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday will be open 11 am to 4pm. The show will still be held at the Borough Hall Auditorium. This show is an opportunity to see our entire 14’ by 28’ HO layout in operation. We are always looking for new members so feel free to ask the operators about the layout and club. Get ready to kick off the holidays with the Haddon Heights Library’s “All Through the House” Holiday House Tour. The library is celebrating the 34th anniversary of the tour with 3 beautiful homes as well as Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church. We are excited to share these wonderful homes with you as part of the kick-off to the holidays in Haddon Heights. The tour will showcase a beautiful rancher with an indoor pool, a newly built home with a spectacular interior and a recently remodeled home that features a Free Little Library. Santa Claus is coming to Heights – Friday, November 24, 2017 at 6:00pm on Station Avenue. The Boy Scouts will be collecting Non-Perishable Food items at the Parade. Please support our boy scouts and the local food banks and bring canned food items with you while you enjoy this fun parade!
